What to Wear Wednesday: A Secret!

I'm excited!

First of all, are you enjoying the newsletter? I hope so and I'm so appreciative to all of you who have sent me sweet emails and to those who have filled out the survey. It is very helpful to find out what is up in your world, what you find important and what you like to spend on things.

*
Today I am letting you in a little secret.

*
Many of you know my new book comes out this summer. It's called

and is a complete style guide for every woman.

Y'all, it is FULL COLOR and even has a shopping guide in it that tells you exactly where to shop to find what you need. It also tells you how to define your own style and what stores you'll find those styles in.

*
But, I digress. (I seem to do that alot.)

Anyway, after reading thru many of the survey answers from the questions I asked in the newsletter it seems that the majority of you would like to pay $25-$50 for a fabulous pair of jeans.

*
Because it was such an overwhelming answer (and hey, if you haven't done the survey yet, please do it because I need your input), today I'm going to tell you the EXACT jeans, yes, the EXACT jeans to buy for your body type that is in the pricepoint you want...$25-$50!

In my book, I actually will list 5 pair of jeans per body type in every price point. Since I love you guys, I'm going to let you in on the jeans to buy even before the book comes out...so you don't have to wait! If you want jeans in the other pricepoints, sorry, you really will have to wait for that!

*
But sometimes, a girl's just gotta let another girl in on a secret, ya know?

*
So here goes:

*

H Body type: (tummy girls): Lee Slender Secret Jeans

*

O Body type: (busty girls): Old Navy Diva Jeans

*
A Body type: (booty girls): Riders by Lee

*
X Body type: (balanced girls): Old Navy Flirt Jeans
*
So there ya go! If you're in need of a great pair of jeans in a price point that won't hurt your pocket book, try these out. Can't wait to hear what you think.
*
If you still haven't signed up for the newsletter and would like one, please email me directly at shari-p31@earthlink.net and I will get you signed up AND send you the current newsletter.
*
Hey, I'm gonna be in Alabama this weekend doing a teen and women's conference...want to come? It's at Bethlehem West Missionary Baptist Church near Huntsville, in Vinemont, Alabama. Would love to see you there!
*
So glad you came to visit!
Love, Shari
*Next week, I'm going to answer some of the questions you've sent me in the last couple of weeks. Look out for yours!

Thanks for the fab tips you share each week, Shari. My only issue with this weeks post...when I hear Riders jeans I think "old lady" jeans. Are there modern, stylish Riders jeans?!?!

I'm 33 and not ready to move into "mom jeans."

Hi Shari - I'm new to your blog. What's the difference in the H and X body type? I am 50 years old, a size 6, weight 118. I do have a tummy problem (from babies). Does that qualify me as an H type? Describe the X type?

Just received your book and color swatches. Thank you! Couple of ?'s. 1. Body Type I'm 5'5" 220 lbs with a large chest, flabby tummy and wide behind. I assume I'm an O, but thighs are large too.. So and H? But my rear isn't flat. A large X? That wont work I can't wear the cute clothes of an X? To answer my own ? I believe I'm a hybrid H/O - But since this is all pretty new to me thought I'd double check. 2. There is no Gray in my colors? I'm definatly warm (golden blonde hair/hazel-green eyes). I was devistated about the no Pink rule (my daughter is arguing with you on that one too...btw). One of my favorite combinations is Grey/Pink and Brown/Pink. So that is a no go?

Thank you for all the other tips, can't wait to go shopping! (I've NEVER before said that in my enitre life!!!! I've always despised shopping!)

I signed my daughter up for your newsletter. She would love to have a chance to get a pair of your jeans. She is 5'2 and used to wear a size 0 before she got preggie and now she is in size 4. Her name is Twilla France and she lives in Spring, Texas with her baby's dad's parents. Thanks Sheri...I am super impressed and honored to say that I know you from school.

Hey there, I would like a new pair of jeans because my Right Fit Jeans got ripped by a bleacher at a Volleyball showcase!

Hi Shari,
I have an HA! body type. Most everything jiggles when I laugh!
I would love to win a pair of Lee jeans because just this past weekend my youngest sister made me trade pants with her to prove to me that I did not have to wear "mommy" jeans & that I could wear jeans that fit snuggly & yet were still comfortable. It was wonderful to trade her my size 20W for her 16W Lee jeans even if it was just for a few minutes. She handed me money & insisted that I go buy a pair this week. I'm looking forward to my new pair & would love to have another pair so I won't have to wear the same pair all the time.

Sonoma brand by Kohls is great for the O type as well and I can usually pick up a pair for less than $20 and people compliment them on me. Plus they have a tummy slimming panel and they look great.

I HATED Lane Bryant's Right Fit. Never could find the Right Fit there, but I love my Sonoma's - 5 pairs in the closet right now :)
