Hi Fashionistas! Hope all is well with you this week and your new year is off to a strong, blessed start. I'm with you in the closet clean out strategy and loving getting a clean start. On Monday this week, I spent the day with my prayer warrior friend, Lucy. What did we do? Clean out her closet, of course. Actually, I sat on her bed and said, yes, no, yes, yes, no, no, no...you get the picture. She started on the job last week after my instructions to get rid of a few bags of clothes. She had 2 bags on the floor when I got there. When I left she had probably at least 5 bags more. Sometimes you just have to have someone else tell you to get rid of something, yes?
I hope you spent some time on your list last week. I do want to answer one question that Shannon asked. She wondered if she could wear a leopard print blouse. She doesn't think she has much style and her daughter recommended she not wear it.
I'm going to differ with her, Shannon. I say, go for it! Try something new. Hey, it's just a shirt and you might just feel really good in it.
See, that's the thing about style. Most of us think we don't have style but it's because we don't take chances. Shannon...go get that leopard blouse...let us know how many compliments you get, okay?
Homework for this week. I want you to find a pair of wool trousers. You may already have them in your closet. You may have to go to the local thrift store or goodwill if you don't have much budget. But find a pair. Your goal then, is to wear them at least 4 times before we meet next week. Every time you wear them you have to wear them with something different. I've shown you some pics today to give you an idea. What I'm trying to do is get you to think outside the box. I've found that women tend to wear "outfits". We wear the same sweater with our same pants...every time. To gain style, you must think differently.
Try reaching for a different pair of shoes or boots each time. Choose different accessories. Watch your fashion savvy unfold right before your very eyes. I think you'll be surprised. I can't wait to hear your stories.
Have a beautiful week! By the way, check back next Monday because I'm going to be sharing my story about my trip to Ecuador with Compassion. I can't wait to tell you all about it.
Love you much...fashionable blessings to all! Oh, one more thing: the E-Newsletter is going out at the end of this week! I'm very excited about it and can't wait to show you the before and after pic that's in it....if you're not signed up for it, make sure you go to my website to do so.
Be Blessed and Be Beautiful,
Shari

Hi Shari It's Laura B. Miss you! How do I know something's out of style? I try to buy classic stuff so that I don't have to deal with that. Also, where can I buy pants other than jeans that are long enough for my long legs?
Love your blog, love your newsletter, love you!
I LOVE NEW JEWELRY AND LOOKING
GOOD
