Glamour Girl, Movie Star or Rock Star?

Wow! What a great day we had yesterday!
If you didn't get a chance to enter to win one of the necklaces you still have time because I'm going to announce the winners of the 3 jewelry pieces tomorrow morning. I know, I know, you want to know today BUT since many of my readers know that I only blog on Wednesdays I didn't want to leave anybody out...now that's fair, right? I knew you'd agree!
*
But I have to tell you that I had the BEST time reading all your comments! Oh my goodness, you're interpretation of Glamour Girl, Movie Star and Rock Star was simply stunning...and sooooo much fun to read!
*
Before we get started though I AM going to announce the winners from last week's contest for the copies of my workbook If Clothes Could Talk. Are you ready?
The winners of the workbooks are:
REAGAN!
PHYLLIS!
and
ANONYMOUS FROM ALASKA!
I pray you each enjoy the workbooks and find them useful. Will each of you please email me your mailing address so I can get those in the mail to you.
My email address is: Shari-P31@earthlink.net

Now for the descriptions.
*
When I was first writing my workbook and speaking I had to figure out a way to let women know the best size accessories, prints, handbags, bangles, earrings, etc. to wear.
I have a friend named Cathy who, everytime she sees me, calls me a Rock Star.
I leave her presence each time and go home and tell my husband that I'm a Rock Star! Oh yes I do! For a week! Finally he tells me to get back to reality, so I do. Sort of.
*
So that gave me an idea. I thought to myself,
"hey, if I like being a Rock Star, maybe others will too!"
*
So that's how I came about this system.
Here are the guidelines:
*
YOU are a ROCK STAR if: You are at least 5'8" and are size 8 and up.
YOU are a MOVIE STAR if: You are between 5'3" to 5'7" and are pretty much any size!
YOU are a GLAMOUR GIRL if: You are under 5'3" and are size 6 or less.
If you are under 5'3" and over a size 6 then you are a Movie Star.
If you are 5'8" to 5'9" and are size 6 or under you are a Movie Star.
*
Got it?
So which one are you?
By the way, both of the bottom 2 necklaces would look amazing on either a Glamour Girl, Movie Star AND a Rock Star! For some reason they just POP on anyone...and are a great way to dress up a pair of jeans. Wow. And that Rock Star necklace...you just better pray that you win cause girlfriends, it truly ROCKS.
*
Does that help you?
*
What it all means is that Rock Stars, the bigger the better with everything you put on to accessorize. That goes for bags, bangles and broaches. It also goes for the size prints on your clothes.
Movie Stars: Stay mid-size with it all.
And Glamour Girls? Don't oversize it, girl! Smaller to mid-size is better for you.

*
Here's the thing. Dressing is all about proportion. If a 6 foot tall woman wears tiny accessories and carries a tiny handbag, she overpowers all of it and looks bigger than she is. If a petite Glamour Girl wears too-big accessories, then THEY overpower HER.
*

The more style you've got, the bigger you can go, but you still have to consider proportion above all. Dressing is all about balance.

I love you!

I cannot believe I missed yesterday's carnivals. I was checking in on Proverbs 31 everyday until a couple of weeks ago when life just got in the way! Well, that'll teach me, I am going RIGHT NOW to add these to my following list. Right after I quit kicking myself!

Guess I'm a Rock Star, although I never thought of myself as one. Would love to win a necklace. Thanks!

Well, I would be a movie star, funny I never thought of myself as one, but I can now go around saying to everyone that I am a movie star, I may get some weird looks, but thats ok. Maybe I will win the necklace to show myself off as a movie star. Thanks.

Yesterday I would have said I'm not a star at all, but given today's explanation, I'm a movie star. I think having that blue necklace might make me feel more like one. I love that color! I'm afraid you'd have to also tell me what I'd wear it with. As I said, I am sorely lacking in star power.

Wow, you just don't know how much of a blessing you are to me. Being color blind iss a hindrance to a gal when she wants to look "good". Mom always sewed my clothes growing up and she was a whiz at color and fashion. She has gone on her reward and I am still learning how to listen and be guided from other sources. I like the last necklace because of the flowers and I am a movie star. lstott@jasperisd.net

Hi Shari
I am at work and dreaming about the brown/gold necklace and I think that it would be the perfect color and design for all of the browns (that you chose for me to wear and since I am the older sister, I think I should win!

Loved reading your descriptions and even happier that God has led me to this site. I wrote yesterday that I thought I qualified as a Rock Star...and what do you? I do!

Well then my 4'10" size 2 self is a Glamour girl! However, I still really love that blue necklace although I have a feeling that one's meant for the Rock Stars of the world! That's alright! :)

I am a Movie Star at 5'4" and you are right because I can be any size on any given day.
