DAY 2 CHALLENGE: Frumpy to Fab!

Frumpy to Fabulous in 30 Days!

All the fun is happening on the Fashion Meets Faith Facebook page but in case you don't have FB, I'm posting here so you can keep up with us.

DAY 2 CHALLENGE, Part A: It's time to bring your SPRING clothes to the forefront of your closet. Take time today to move all Fall/Winter Clothes to the back part of your closet or store in boxes and move to attic or another part of your home. Label boxes so you know what's in there. If it's still a little cool in your neck of the woods, keep a few fall/winter clothes handy but it's time to think S...pring. This is a job you will do twice each year. Do not donate your fall/winter clothes to charity at this time of year...do it when you get them back out in the Fall when people are needing them at that time.

DAY 2 CHALLENGE, Part B: Hang your clothes from short to long, and by color. For example, begin with shorter type shirts and keep all white shirts together, then black, blue, etc. Hang your longer tunics next, grouped by color, move on to skirts, dresses, jeans, etc. Your closet will look organized this way. When hanging clothes, turn your hanger backwards so at the end of summer you will see what you haven't worn because the hanger will still be backwards.

We'll take time on another day to try on, toss or donate. Today is for getting your closet organized so you can see what you have.

Let us know when you've completed Day 2!

Love you girls!!!!

Just last week I moved my spring/summer to the front and my fall/winter clothes to the back of my closet. And I already had them hanging as you suggested. :)

Up until a couple of months ago, I've always had a large walk-in closet and I had EVERYTHING on a clothes hanger. I never changed out Spring or Fall clothes. They stayed in the closet year round. When we moved our house came with a "matchbox" closet and I was forced to make some changes. However, the changes had nothing to do with Spring/Fall clothes, just whatever would fit. After completing this challenge, I feel like I have a new wardrobe already! It seems strange to say but when all my clothes were hanging up, I never had "anything to wear." Now, I feel like a have a better selection (even though they are the same clothes) and I can see exactly what new items I need to purchase for the current season.

This is great, Daisha! I'm going to post your comment on the facebook page too, so others can see how great it is to clean it out! Thanks for posting!

I just started this challenge yesterday but figured it's never to late to change for the better. Today I'm going home after work to clean out my closet. Oh... and my copy of the book from Amazon (day one challenge) should be arriving soon!

I just spent the weekend cleaning up my closet! I wish I would have taken before and after pictures! It's amazing how much more organized it looks and it's already inspiring me to make better fashion choices.
