Day 9 Challenge
Today we will focus on COLOR. Do you know what colors look
best on you? How about the ones that don’t look good at all?
Part A: If you know your dominant color characteristic
(DCC), then fill it in on your Style Sheet. Your answer should read: Deep,
Light, Soft, Clear, Warm or Cool. Do NOT guess at this. If you don’t know your
DCC, then go to my free color analysis website and take the test to find out.
That website is: www.ColorEnalysis.com If you want to order your color swatches,
you may do so on that website and then you’ll be instructed to send me a photo
for me to confirm. I’m sorry I can’t confirm everyone without the order or
that’s all I’d be doing all day long!!!! Thank you for understanding!!!!
If you have your Color Swatches, then get those out and look
at them. If no color swatches, then get the book out and go to Chapter 2. Read
the specific part regarding your DCC.
Part B: Based on the information from my book or the Color
Swatch description cards, you will see what the best neutrals for your wardrobe
are based on your DCC.
Now take a look at your organized closet. What neutral
colors should you build your wardrobe around? You may already have those colors
in there, or you might decide to get new neutrals, this is totally up to you.
BUT, do NOT pick more than 2-3 neutrals (jeans don’t count so these are extra)
to plan your spring/summer wardrobe with. For example, do you have brown,
black, white, camel, gray and navy bottoms? Too many for a basic wardrobe! This
is why you’re all over the place when it comes to planning a good wardrobe.
Choose 2-3 basic neutrals that you’d like to go thru Spring/Summer with.
On your Style Sheet, you will see a line for NEUTRALS FOR
WARDROBE. Fill that in with the Neutral colors you are choosing for your
wardrobe.
In the comments below, tell us what your DCC is and what
your neutral colors will be for this season. For example, I’m a WARM and my
neutrals for Spring/Summer will be Ivory, Camel, and Navy.
Have fun!
Love ya, Shari

I am a CLEAR and my neutrals for the summer will be Charcoal Gray, Navy & White. Does this mean that I should take all browns & blacks from my closet now?
You don't have to take all browns and blacks out, but what it means is that we're going to be building your wardrobe around the neutrals you picked...so just move them out of the way or ignore them.
Ok, thanks!
I'm a WARM and my summer neutral's are brown and navy. I typed in 'warm' on my Style Sheet.
I am deep. My best neutrals: black or dark brown. I need some more "pop colors". I also need to "color" my hair a little shade darker. I have always been told if your hair is gray, color it lighter. I am not ready to go gray! Isn't dark brown drastic for a 57 year old?
I am a Warm so I am choosing chocolate brown, camel, and ivory for my basics. I have to tell you this is very helpful for me. I am finally getting my closet organized and finding so many ways to put outfits together!
I am a Clear, and I see in your book the recommended neutrals are black, navy and deep charcoal gray.
I was wondering if you would suggest any other neutrals for the warmer weather if you're a Clear, but don't want to wear too many dark colours in summer? Thanks!
