What to Wear: A Jeans and Cute Blouse Kind of Girl

Remember when we had the Riders by Lee jeans/outfit give-away a while back? Well this week I received pics from one of the winners and I'm so happy to show them to you today! Daphne has a great story that I want to share with you here:
Hi, Shari! So, I finally got my clothes from Lee. I got them just a few days before we left to visit family in Texas for a week and a half!  These are the items I received…No Gap Waist Bootcut in Super Dark and the Instantly Slimming Short Sleeve Solid Casual Shirt - Arctic White. First off, I love the jeans! They have a wide waistband and just enough stretch to be super comfy without feeling weird. I can’t think of a single negative thing about these jeans. The shirt is very comfy and fits nicely. It really does make one look great as it has nice pleats and shaping. The best part of this shirt is the double buttons at the bust area. What a great idea! One extra little button, which is hidden because the shirt has a covered placket, that keeps the shirt from gaping at the bust!! The only down side to the shirt is that it is a bit more sheer than what I am comfortable wearing alone. However, it’s a light enough weight that I can wear a cami under it or a top over it. I’m including 3 photos, one with a light pink cami under it, one with a bright pink cardigan over it, and the “vogue” pic that my husband loves! Can you tell I love pink?! The shirt is very versatile and I imagine I will wear it often.  Thank you so much for the chance to try these great clothes through your giveaway! I love your advice and check your blog every Wednesday! Much love, Daphne

Thank you so much, Daphne, for sharing that with us. What you don't know about Daphne is that she has lost 50 lbs. in the past 2 years! She dropped from a size 20 and is now a size 12. She said she had been feeling "very fluffy and decidedly unattractive" because the doctor had put her on some meds that made her gain 15 lbs back so when she knew the outfit had been shipped, she went out and got a new haircut too!  Well, Daphne, WE think you look great! And I'm writing that for all the readers who are seeing you today! And whoever said that a cute new outfit and haircut doesn't make you feel better must have been a man!
I want to send a special thank you to the folks at Riders for sending us certificates for our three winners. Maybe they'll do it again soon! Hint, hint!

The blouse, by the way, is priced at $19.98 and the jeans are under $20, too! So for under 50 bucks you can get new jeans, a new blouse and have a little to spare.
So dear fashionistas, what can you do this week to make yourself feel better by not spending a lot of money to do it?  While you're thinking about it, let's give a shout out to Daphne and tell her how good she looks....and then give a compliment to the first friend you see today...and then the next. Today is COMPLIMENT YOUR FRIEND day!
Did you know that? (Okay, I made it up, but isn't it a good idea?)
Next week I'm going to start sharing some information from my new book...some new fashion info that no one knows'll be the first!
Beauty Boot Camp is this weekend...I'm soooo excited....the women are in for an experience of a lifetime....don't worry if you can't be here this time....we're taking pics and video and will show you soon!
Love you girls!
