What to Wear: FASHION CAMP!!!

Hello Everyone! My name is Dawn Tugman and I am a graduate of Shari’s Fashion Meets Faith Image Consultant Speaker course. Shari is traveling to Guatemala and will be away for two weeks; so today I will be your guest blogger!

We had a FABULOUS time at our first Modest is Hottest Fashion Camp last week! We had 20 girls, some from as far away as Virginia Beach, VA, join us as we encouraged them not only in making wise fashion decisions but also in loving themselves just as God made them… Absolutely beautiful in every way! They are precious to their Heavenly Father, he has a plan for each one of them and he will never leave them! That’s wonderful encouragement for all of us!

They learned their DCC, their body type, the 5 B’s of modesty and then off they went to shop using their new found knowledge. We talked about where shorts and skirts should hit their legs as well as undergarments and bathing suits. And then they shopped some more! They learned age appropriate skin care and each had a makeover (or make-under). We even surprised them with a “game show” featuring three wonderful teenage guys who answered their questions about what they thought about how girl’s dressed and wore their makeup. GREAT questions and wonderful responses!!

We finished the week with a fabulous fashion show that was a huge hit with both the girls and their friends and families. And yes, although none of the girls were my daughters, I teared up just watching them strut their stuff in their modest and hottest fashions! We were all so very proud of them!

There are plans already is motion for holding several fashion camps nationwide next year. So stay tuned for more information. If you are interested in hosting a Fashion Camp in your city, please contact Shari with your information.

Shari asked that you continue to send in your fashion questions and she will be answering these in the next few weeks.

Blessings to all!

The girls look so cute! It's so fun to minister to young ladies and let them know their true beauty and identity is in Christ. I would LOVE one day to take Shari's 'Fashion Meets Faith Image Consultant Speaker'course. I think I'd be good at it, if I can be so presumptuous...:) thanks Dawn for the post!

I think the Fashion Camp is a great idea! Christian teens are always presented with poor choices for fashion in the media. I think it would also benefit some Christain women who have yet to discover their inner beauty! I would love to host a camp in Albuqerque, NM next year. Let me know how to get started!
