This Fall's KEY Accessory Trend

Hello my beautiful friends!
It's fall, it's fall, it's fall and I'm so excited to tell you about it AND be back with you!

I needed this restful summer...it did me so much good and God has been so gracious to give me the time to rest AND to fill me with beautiful dreams again. I suppose he never stopped giving me the dreams, but perhaps I just wasn't listening.

I'll be posting each week again, mostly on Wednesdays unless something comes up and I need to post on another day but for now, Wednesdays it is.

I don't know about you, but for me, I tend to look for a new handbag about twice a year. Once in early to mid August for a new fall/winter bag and then again in about early March for my spring/summer bag. You see, the one way you can look TOTALLY "IN" for a new season is knowing what style handbag to look for. So for my first bit of news for Fall, I'm bringing you handbag advice this week.

The main thing you need to know for this season is where the handle is. Yes, the handle.

The key accessory trend this season is THE HANDHELD BAG, so basically,

It's all in the way you carry it.

Take a look:

This last one is mine. Matches my hair pretty well these days!

All the above purses you can find at Nordstrom in a variety of pricepoints. The second bag above is on sale for $25 and change while the one above mine (gray snakeskin) is on sale at $318. So no matter your budget there is a handheld bag for you.

So go get your shopping shoes on and head to the mall.
Now that you know what to look for you can find a hand held bag that will be right in style, and will help you appear ahead of the trends and and be up to date.

And remember, if you want it to go with every outfit you have, buy it in a color that matches your hair and you will be good to go!

I LOVE bags... I would go barefooted for a year to buy bags!! Really like the tip! Earlier this year I bought a Micha and I love it! haven't gotten a new cover yet, just the one I bought with it. I've missed you this summer and I'm glad you're back!!

Fall is my favorite time of year!
I like to carry one handbag for a while and I've learned from your book to match my hair color. It's great you had a restful summer and will be posting again with new dreams; I too am glad you're back!

I guess I got lucky; my one haircolor-match purchase was for a handheld. The only glitch is that I shove it over my shoulder to free-up my hands. Oops! Now I know it's a fashion no-no and will attempt to quite that habit.

It is great to hear from you again. Welcome back!

I'm gonna have to be out of trend this season. I've got two little kids and there's no way I can carry my purse in my hand and keep track of my girls; it's got to be on my shoulder. My purse does match my hair though, so I've at least got that right :)

I have always had boring, small purses that are just functional. From reading your book and finding out that I should have a medium to large sized purse and can get away with zebra print because of my clear coloring, well, I went and got a medium sized zebra print purse! It was inexpensive so when I tire of it I can move on to something else. I feel quite stylish when I'm carrying it around - I hope everyone else thinks so too!

I agree with Brenda's comment. I love my Miche bag. Since my hair is white I often match my "pop" color with my bag shell. Get so my compliments with my appearance since I switched to following Shari's guidelines. Something I never heard before. Thanks!
