Day 15
Holiday Challenge
Look put
together, not thrown together by creating Instant Oufits with 4 key pieces. You
will need 60-90 minutes for this project so if you can’t do it now, make an
appt on your calendar to do it sometime this week.
In Today’s
challenge, grab a notebook and your smartphone (optional but a good idea) and
get ready to make some notes and take pictures.
Make Columns
on your notebook page that looks like the following:

To create an
Instant Outfit, you need ONE BOTTOM, ONE TOP, ONE PAIR OF FOOTWEAR AND ONE
STATEMENT PIECE. If you want to add other things you can, but the idea of an
Instant Outfit is that you know what 4 pieces go with what, you throw it on
because it’s been pre-planned and you know it looks good; dab a little makeup,
fix your hair and bam, you’re ready to go!
The only rule for an Instant Outfit
is that t-shirts, tennis shoes, and backpacks are not allowed.
I am making a
new pinterest board for Instant Outfits today so you can check that out later.
But YOUR job is to list your Instant Outfits on your notebook and then lay them
out on your bed and take a picture of them on your smartphone so when you’re in
a rush and don’t know what to wear, all you have to do is go to your phone and
look at your photos.
A Statement
Piece can be a Fabulous Necklace, a Scarf or a Handbag that says WOW! Your
statement pieces do just that, they make a statement when you enter the room.
An example
of an Instant Outfit might be a pair of dark flare jeans, a chocolate brown sweater,
leopard ballet flats and a RED purse.
Or
Dark flare
jeans, chocolate brown sweater, leopard ballet flats and a CHUNKY Large Choker
type Necklace.
Ready to get
started? Aim for 6 pre-planned Instant Outfits. Label them as to wear you might
wear them…casual, work, weekend, date night, holiday party, etc.
Do you have
everything you need?
This will help tremendously with your S.H.O.P. plan…shopping
happily on purpose, not on impulse as you’ll quickly see what you need to get
these outfits together.
Love you!
Shari

I'm a home-schooling mom who had gotten into the habit of bumming around the house all day and only getting fixed up if I was going somewhere. I started feeling convicted that I was sending my kids the wrong message about who was most important in my life, but I didn't have time to put something nice together on most mornings. So I actually did this challenge last week: I put together outfits that would work in or out of the house and hung them together--I love it!
Hi Kris, I'm so happy to hear this! Doesn't it feel good when we look better on the outside too...it really does reflect our inner beauty...way to go...and thanks for sharing with us. love, Shari
