February 9, 2013 – why is that date so important? It is the date of the only Fashion Week in
the country. New York Fashion Week was
snowed out and the Christian Fashion Week Runway delivered designs and fashions
that were fun, sexy and modest.
Sexy and Modest?
Laura have you lost your mind?
Not that I know of.
Being modest meant not showing off cleavage and keeping
hemlines closer to the knee. The designs
showed off women’s figures while giving them waistlines and showed off their
curves (ok ok… some of the girls didn’t have curves!)
In my life the dresses would be great for a fancy date night
with my hubbie and other pieces were great for any time… church, errands,
shopping or ladies afternoon lunch. The
designs were mostly high fashion and in my vocabulary that means not likely in
my every day life…but they are great for inspiration!
One of the professional photographers graciously opened his
website to the fashions from each designer.
Take a peek when you get a chance and let us know which outfits you
would wear and which ones you are inspired by.
I am working to bring you articles on how to shop, what
products I found while preparing for this weekend and hopefully a few other surprises! Stay tuned!
Feel inspired ladies!

I have never been impressed with fashion shows and this one is no exception. There is nothing here that inspires me. I thought I might at least like the men's clothes but most of them look really scary! Like they are wearing their latest hunting trophy or something. Anyhow, I do have a question. Shari says hemlines should be at a diamond in the legs. What are the rules when the skirt either has a see-through overlay or when the hem is short in the front and long in the back?
