Belk's Skincare Picks!

Hello beautiful friends,

As we head into the winter months our skin desires a bit more TLC.
I thought I might give you a few recommendations each week throughout the winter months on some skincare products you might like to try. Because we have different issues and challenges when it comes to our skin, sometimes you may have to try several different products to find the best one for you. Though sometimes I'm given products and samples to try, you can be certain I will give my honest opinion. I won't be able to try everything (otherwise my skin would have even MORE issues!) but I may find some that I think YOU should try even if I don't get to. I'll also be featuring some products that I have bought with my own money. Also, if I'm given samples or products, I will tell you who I got them from so you know where to get them!

Thanks to my friends at Belk, the following products are some of their top beauty picks for this season so they gave me a few samples (and one full size eye cream..yippee!) to try.  At my age (51) I'm all about anti-aging so I'm trying all kinds of things these days. Here are a few you might like to try to treat your skin:

Clarins Total Eye Concentrate - Clarins sheds new light on age-defying eye care with a treatment powered by Pueraria Lobata, the "forever young" plant proven to reduce the effects of aging. In just three weeks eyes are given a luminous “lift.” Clarins Total Eye Concentrate works on all skin types and is great for removing puffiness and crow’s feet.
This product makes looking younger simple and easy. This has definitely been one of my favorite eye creams. Ever. I've been using it every morning and night and it is lasting a long time...just use a dab on your ring finger and pat around the bone area around your eyes. I got this in early August and still have lots left. A dab'll do ya!

Esteé Lauder Perfectionist CP+R- New Perfectionist CP+R is a supercharging cream that is safe for all skin types. What can you expect to see in a day, week and even a month?

DAY 1: Immediately reduces look of lines by 37 percent

WEEK 1: Doubles skin's line-fighting power. Prominent wrinkles begin to look lifted away.

MONTH 1: 96 percent of women showed a significant reduction in lines and wrinkles. Skin looks re-defined, reclaims a youthful firmness and suppleness. I didn't get to try this personally but love what it has to offer...if you have tried it, I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Esteé Lauder Advanced Night Repair - The one formula beautiful skin can't live without...that's what they say about this! This comprehensive, high-performance anti-aging serum-inspired by groundbreaking DNA research dramatically reduces visible signs of aging in your skin. You should apply this before your night cream. My sister Kathi uses this every night and I love the way her skin looks...she's my older sister...heheh!...but looks good!

Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Optimizing Skin Serum - See a difference in as little as six days when using the new Visible Difference Optimizing Skin Serum together with the spa inspired skincare regimen. In a perfect world, your skin would repair and replace damaged cells so quickly that you'd have a continuous, healthy glow. The reality is that our skin needs a little
help and this skin serum is just the trick. Elizabeth Arden has optimized 100 years of spa science to create a serum that gives your skin a healthy advantage. This advanced treatment formula with an exclusive retinyl complex renews skin's clarity and texture with a healthy glow as it evens skin tone. This product is suitable for all skin types, even sensitive skin, and has been approved by dermatologists and clinically tested. Another plus is that this serum is noncomedogenic. My mother ONLY used Elizabeth Arden products for as long as I can remember before she passed away at the young age of 64...and her skin always looked so good.

So there you have it...this week's skincare product recommendations.
What do you use on your skin? Let's get some conversation going...what do you like? What do you use? How can I help you understand skincare better?

love you gals..have a wonderful weekend!
Shari

I've had awful acne since I turned 35. I tried all kinds of facial products and nothing helped. Changing my pillowcase seems to make a difference. I finally realized that I can't eat gluten, and I'm feeling healthier, and interestingly my skin has cleared up.

I also have extremely sensitive skin, and right now I'm having good luck with an African black soap cleanser, and a moisturizer from Target by Boots.

Shari, You are beautiful and don't look 51. I have sensitive skin with some breakouts. I am using Andalou naturals face wash. I have found organic emu oil to be quite healing.

I'm 50+ always use a moisturizer with SPF as well as foundation. Recently, I've decided it's time to begin using more along the line of what this post is about, very timely for me; thanks Shari!

My coder is trying to persuade me to move to .net from PHP.
I have always disliked the idea because of the costs.
But he's tryiong none the less. I've been using Movable-type on numerous websites
for about a year and am anxious about switching to another platform.
I have heard fantastic things about blogengine.

net. Is there a way I can transfer all my wordpress
posts into it? Any help would be really appreciated!
