Day 22 Holiday Challenge
I challenge you to dress beautifully today. “Therefore, as
God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion,
kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.” Colossians 3:12
In the midst of last minute shopping, Christmas parties,
grocery store runs, and family gatherings, I challenge you to dress yourselves with
the qualities of the fruit of the spirit so you will exude Christ to those
around you in a much more effective way.
Be COMPASSIONATE to
the friend who has gone thru a tough time this year and wants to meet for coffee
even though you have a hundred other things you could be doing.
Be KIND to the Salvation Army bell ringer. Slip a dollar
bill into the jar and then, when your shopping is done, bring him a cup of
coffee or hot chocolate on your way out.
Be HUMBLE and get on your knees and thank God for your many
blessings.
Be GENTLE when you speak to your children, spouse or
co-worker.
Be PATIENT with the grumpy grocery store clerk. Compliment her
and confirm how hard it must be to endure frazzled shoppers all day long.
I pray you are
clothed beautifully today!
love, Shari

I'm reading this post after the holidays, but I love it. I want a wall hanging like the one you pictured to hang up by my closet door.
